Olaf Marshmallow Pops: Frozen-Inspired Party Treats

We made these adorable and easy-to-create Olaf Marshmallow Pops inspired by the Disney movie Frozen. This charming character treat is simple to assemble and perfect for a Frozen-themed party, family movie night, or a fun baking activity with children. My boys absolutely loved them, and they made a delightful addition to our celebration.

Easy Olaf Marshmallow Pops from the Disney movie Frozen!

Olaf Marshmallow Pops — Ingredients

  • 3 regular marshmallows (stacked for Olaf’s body)
  • 2 mini marshmallows (for feet)
  • Chocolate and orange candy pieces (Tootsie Roll-style or similar)
  • Mini chocolate chips (for eyes and buttons)
  • White cookie icing or similar edible glue
  • Decorative straws or lollipop sticks
  • Toothpicks (optional, to secure arms)

Step-by-step Instructions

1. Begin by stacking three regular marshmallows vertically. Use a small amount of white cookie icing to attach each marshmallow to the next. Set the stacked marshmallows on wax paper and let the icing set briefly so the pieces hold together.

2. Attach two mini marshmallows at the base for Olaf’s feet, using icing. Flip the stacked marshmallows carefully so the front faces up.

3. For the facial features and buttons, use mini chocolate chips as Olaf’s eyes and buttons. Attach them with a dab of icing to secure.

4. Create Olaf’s nose, arms, and hair from melted and flattened candy. Microwave a large brown candy piece (such as a chocolate or Tootsie Roll-style candy) for a few seconds until soft, then flatten it and cut into shapes with kitchen scissors. For arms, cut strips and snip the ends to resemble fingers. For hair, shape small thin pieces and attach to the top of the head. Use an orange candy piece for the carrot-shaped nose and press gently into the marshmallow.

5. Insert short pieces of toothpick into the candy arms to anchor them, then press the other end into the marshmallow sides. Use icing to add Olaf’s teeth and any small details. When all pieces are in place, press the finished Olaf onto a decorative straw or a lollipop stick so he stands upright.

6. Allow the completed pops to rest on wax paper until all icing and candy parts have set. This helps them stay together when handled or served.

Presentation and Tips

These Olaf Marshmallow Pops are especially kid-friendly because children can help assemble and decorate them. Prepare the components ahead of time and let kids attach the eyes, buttons, and hair for a hands-on activity. Use a variety of decorative straws or colorful sticks to match a Frozen-themed table setting. If you prefer a sturdier base, insert the stick through the bottom marshmallow before adding the mini marshmallow feet.
