Dump everything into a large baking dish and dinner is done — my favorite kind of meal, especially on busy school nights when I’m already spent by dinnertime.
This easy pizza casserole is a lifesaver for busy parents on a budget with hungry kids to feed. It’s highly customizable: switch up toppings however you like. I often make half with pepperoni and peppers for the adults and half with plain cheese and olives for the kids. Either way, it comes together quickly with minimal prep and cleanup.

Your picky eaters are going to love this fun and easy way to make pizza!

Ingredients
- 2 cans refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
- 1 (15 oz) jar pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Pepperoni or other pizza toppings of your choice

Step 1 Preheat the oven to 350° F. Open both cans of biscuits and cut them into quarters (or bite-sized pieces) using a pizza cutter or knife.

Step 2 Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and arrange the biscuit pieces in an even layer. If some pieces need to be slightly stacked, place those near the edges where they’ll bake faster.

Step 3 Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the biscuit pieces with a spoon or small spatula, then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella on top. Add a little grated Parmesan if you like extra flavor.

Step 4 Top with your preferred pizza toppings — pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, olives, bell peppers, onions, fresh herbs, or anything else you enjoy.

Step 5 Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the dough is cooked through and the cheese starts to brown. The center usually takes the longest, so check it first to ensure doneness.

Serve warm. Eat it with your hands or a fork — both work. This casserole combines fluffy biscuit bites with tangy sauce and melted cheese, making it a crowd-pleaser for picky eaters and adults alike.

Ingredients
- 2 cans refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
- 1 (15 oz) jar pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Pizza toppings of choice (pepperoni, Italian sausage, vegetables)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Open both cans of biscuits and cut them into quarters or small bite-sized pieces.
- Arrange the dough evenly in the prepared dish, keeping pieces in a single layer when possible.
- Spread pizza sauce over the dough, sprinkle with mozzarella, then add your chosen toppings.
- Bake uncovered 25–30 minutes or until the dough is cooked through and the cheese is browned. Check the center for doneness.
- Allow to cool 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
- Use only one can of biscuits if you prefer a saucier, smaller casserole.
- If the center is slow to cook, try cutting the dough into smaller pieces or briefly par-baking the dough 5–10 minutes before adding sauce and toppings.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator up to 3 days; reheat in an oven or air fryer for best texture.
- Add Italian seasoning, Parmesan, red pepper flakes, or fresh herbs to boost flavor.
- Good topping ideas: pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, olives, bell peppers, onions, basil, or spinach. For delicate greens like spinach, tuck them under the cheese or mix into the sauce to prevent burning.
