We homeschool our kids, so we don’t pack school lunchboxes each evening, but lunchtime is still an important part of our day. Like many parents, I try to keep meals interesting. Kids can be picky or just wear out on the same options, so I’m always on the lookout for fresh ideas.
Oscar Mayer’s Old World Inspired Classic Pepperoni and Salami made a great solution. Pepperoni isn’t just for pizza—it’s excellent in sandwiches, and its popularity in deli-style subs is growing. We tried these sandwiches and everyone enjoyed them. Our oldest daughter helped assemble them, and we packed a few for a recent picnic at the park. Paired with fresh apples, they made a perfect, easy meal.

Oscar Mayer’s Old World Style line includes Classic Salami, Cracked Black Pepper Salami, Classic Pepperoni and Turkey Pepperoni. All varieties come in sandwich-ready slices and offer up to 8 grams of protein per serving, making them a convenient choice for lunches.
A 4 oz. package of Old World Style pepperoni or salami retails around $3.29 SRP and can be found in the refrigerated deli section at most grocery stores.
